Fläkt Woods has won a contract valued at almost €2 million for the supply of air handling units at the massive new Stadtgalerie Heilbronn shopping mall in the German city of Heilbronn. Stadtgalerie Heilbronn has approximately 13,000m² of retail space, on three shopping levels containing 70 shops. Fläkt Woods has supplied and fitted the centre’s entire air handling requirements.
In total 14 supply and exhaust EU air handling units, equipped with Econet have been installed. These modular air-handling units are highly specified, and designed for customers with a focus on quality and energy efficiency. Each unit has been optimised for acoustic and/or efficiency requirements. And with ECONET inside, all energy functions, such as heat recovery, heating and cooling are integrated into one common circuit, making it probably the most flexible and energy efficient solution on the market today.
Computer-aided selection using a program based on a series of highly complex algorithms allowed Fläkt Woods to optimise selection and ensure that the unit offered conforms to the customer’s exacting requirements.
The EU range offers all needed functionality and high degree of flexibility. The sturdy frame members and corner pieces form a very stable framework, which is well suited to the full range of sizes. Additionally, Fläkt Woods has supplied the cooling equipment, delivering 11 outdoor air-cooled condensers with axial fans as well as 900 swirl diffusers.
